The digital launch of COBJ is coming, stay tuned for details!
COBJ Around Town is where Compositions of Black Joy hits the streets—popping up in historic sites, bookstores, libraries, cafes, and cultural events across Philly and beyond. Whether it’s a quiet morning of storytelling over coffee or an art-filled celebration during Juneteenth, these gatherings carry the soul of the book into community spaces where Black joy lives and breathes.
Brewed for connection. Rooted in joy.
One of our two signature events, Coffee & COBJ is an intimate gathering where creative minds meet over coffee to explore culture, storytelling, and the joy of building something meaningful—together.
Where every sip tells a story—and every story builds community.
The second of our two signature events, Cocktails & COBJ is a spirited gathering that celebrates the legacy of Juneteenth through bold conversations, Black joy, and drinks crafted with flavors like hibiscus, watermelon, and strawberry. Come thirsty for connection, leave nourished by culture.
These are the next stops on the COBJ Around Town journey.
